Hello Friends and happy first day of Fall!
Today is the autumnal equinox and Mother Nature did not waste anytime here in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The day broke with cooler temperatures (yay!) and lots of rain. In fact, we're under a rainfall warning (boo!). But, that just means it's the perfect weather for staying indoors and crafting!
Today, I want to share a cute box I made for my Summer Getaway Online Retreat, featuring the Flowers of Friendship bundle.
I love using our beautiful papers to create my own packaging; and with the holidays around the corner; packaging will come in handy.
Box Measurements:
Box Top: 6" x 6", scored at 1" on all four sides
Box Bottom: 8" x 8", scored at 2" on all four sides
Basic White Tag: 4" x 2 1/2" cut with largest tag die
Box Details:
Assemble your boxes.
Bottom: Melon Mambo 8” x 8” Lid: 6” x 6”
Each bottom is scored at 2 inches all the way around. Then snip the score marks up to the 2 inch mark on two of the opposite sides of each other, and create your tabs to glue inside and make the bottom of your box.
Each top is scored at 1 inch all the way around. Then snip the score marks up to the 1 inch mark on two of the opposite sides of each other, and create your tabs to glue inside and make the top of your box. TIP: Leave a little space when adhering your tabs so the lid slides on easier.
For the tag: Stamp the greeting in Melon Mambo, and the Flowers in Granny Apple Green that has been stamped off once. Cut out with the largest rounded tag die from the Tailor Made Tags die set. Attach reinforcement around tag hole in same DSP as box top. Thread white Baker’s Twine through the hole and set aside.
Tie length of white ribbon around the assembled box and secure with a bow on top. Thread bakers twine under knot of bow and secure with a bow to attach tag.
That's it! These adorable boxes are so easy to create and can really be made as big as your paper will allow. How super fun to be able to coordinate all your holiday packaging and greeting cards this year!
