Field of Flowers in My Heart

Good morning! It's Wednesday morning here in Hamilton, Ontario and my kids have been doing "remote" learning for one day...and I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to manage, lol. Thankfully, I have crafting to keep me sane. It has actually been proven that doing something creative is good for your mental health. I tend to use this a lot when my hubby is complaining about how much time I'm spending in my stamp room.

Today, I'm sharing another project featuring my Product of the Week, Field of Flowers. This card was inspired by a card Jacque Williams had done. I changed up the colours and design just a little and this is the result.

I absolutely LOVE Just Jade and Bumbleebee, two of the five InColours for 2020-2022. I'm usually not drawn to yellows or greens...until now. I love how they perfectly complement one another to create a this scene.

Card Measurements:

  • Basic White card stock base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

  • Just Jade card stock: 5 1/4" x 4", embossed

  • Basic White: 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"

Card Details:

  • Fold card base in half, position in portrait layout.

  • Using Ornate Floral 3D textured embossing folder, run Just Jade card stock through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine to add texture to the layer. Attach to card base with Stampin' Seal

  • Stamp three stems on Basic White using Just Jade ink

  • Stamp flower blooms in Bumblebee lined up with stems

  • Stamp greeting and dragonfly in Just Jade.

  • Cut two lengths of Just Jade ribbon, the first about 5" and the other about 3". Wrap longer length of ribbon across the stamped piece of card stock, about 1/3" from the bottom. Secure ends on back side. Tie smaller piece of ribbon around the now secured piece and trim ends to desired length. Attach layer to card base with Stampin' Dimensionals

  • Add Basic Jewel Rhinestones to complete look

Thanks for stopping by today, I truly appreciate you all! You'll find a complete list of supply items at the bottom of this page.
