Pale Pansies

Happy Wednesday! It’s a beautiful day here in Hamilton, ON. This past Saturday, I spent the day putting on an online event with 5 of my Demonstrator friends.

Our Stampin’ Extravaganza was open to all Canadians, not currently signed up as a demonstrator themselves. We showcased and highlighted many items from the new Annual Catalogue. There were games and prizes and a whole lot of fun.

My presentation featured the beautiful Pansy Petals suite and I created this card live for all attendees to see.

I paired the Pansy Petals designer series paper with the Pansy Patch stamp set and dies. I also used the Scalloped Contours dies. A complete list of supplies will be found at the bottom of this post.

Card Measurements:

  • Thick Basic White card stock base: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”

  • Pale Papaya: 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”

  • DSP: 3 1/4” x 4 5/8”

  • Basic White: 3” x 4”

  • Basic White: 1/2” x 2“

  • scraps of Basic White

Card Details:

  • Cut card base, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half.

  • Using the largest rectangular die from the Scalloped Contours dies, cut out in the Pale Papaya.

  • Cut DSP and attach to Pale Papaya rectangle with Stampin’ Seal.

  • Use the middle sized scallop rectangle due to cut out a basic white label.

  • Cut a length of Pale Papaya ribbon and fold over the scalloped rectangle from previous step. Secure by tying a bow with white baker's twine around the ends of the Pale Papaya ribbon, close to the edge of the rectangle. Snip off ends to desired length. Attach rectangle to card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

  • On scrap of Basic White, stamp three pansy images. Start with the solid image in Pale Papaya that has been stamped off once. Layer on the detailed image in full-strength Pale Papaya. For the largest pansy, fill in the centre with Daffodil Delight and then add Memento Black stamen for the two larger blooms. Stamp leaves in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. Cut all images out using Pansy dies and layer onto the white scalloped rectangle, above the ribbon.

  • On the 1/2" strip of Basic White, stamp greeting by inking the words you desire with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. Punch or cut banner ends and attach to base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

This card would be beautiful in so many colours. I can't wait to try them out! If you loved today's post, be sure to:
