Product of the Week: Field of Flowers

Good day Friends! Welcome! I'm so glad you've stopped by. I spoke in my post the other day about how a new year is an opportunity to try new things. I thought why not try doing a Product of the Week where I'll focus on a different stamp set each week and showcase a variety of ways it can be used!

I'm starting with a set that one of my team leaders and I recently showcased for our teams during our holiday party, Field of Flowers. This stamp set is found in the Annual Catalogue and is just lovely. I hope you enjoy the projects I'm going to share with you over the course of the week. Check back often for more inspiration.

This card was one of the first I designed when playing with the stamp set for the first time. It features a watercolour wash and heat embossing to get the desired look. I didn't feel embellishments were needed for this card, shocking, as the texture and watercolour really speak for themselves.

Card Measurements:

  • Magenta Madness card stock base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

  • Basic Black card stock matte: 5 1/4" x 4"

  • Watercolour Paper: 5" x 3 3/4"

  • Scrap of Whisper White

Card Details:

  • Cut card base, and fold in half. Turn landscape orientation.

  • Attach Basic Black matte to card base with Stampin' Seal

  • Give water colour paper a good soaking using your Water Pens. You want to make sure it's nice and wet for when you start to apply colour.

  • Create watercolour wash using Merry Merlot, Magenta Madness and Flirty Flamingo. Blend to get desired look and let dry throughly

  • Once watercolour paper has completely dried, ink up grassy stamp in Versamark Ink and stamp across the bottom. Sprinkle with Black heat embossing powder and set with Heat tool.

  • Repeat above process with stem and blooms.

  • On scrap of whisper white, stamp sentiment and cut free-hand to desired size. Attach to base with mini stampin' dimensionals

  • Stamp dragonflies in memento tuxedo black ink and attach watercolour paper to card base with Stampin' Seal.

Thanks again for stopping by. You'll find a complete list of supply items at the bottom of this page. If you enjoyed this post:
