Snowy Forest Scene

Updated: Oct 21, 2021

Good day Friends! I know it's been quiet the past few days; but with good reason. It was Thanksgiving here in Canada so I've been celebrating with family the past few days. It was actually unseasonably warm too and we were able to spend much of the day Monday in my brother's pool!

Yesterday, was my 18th wedding anniversary and I spent the day with my honey. We've actually been together 25 years (we're high school sweethearts) and in that time, I've only ever received cards from him 2 or 3 times; it's just NOT his thing. But yesterday, whether he was trying to be funny or felt like he may be in the doghouse for not doing anything, he searched my card stash and gave me a card I had made. Of course, he posted about it on Facebook, all proud of himself.

Anyway, that's why I've been absent the past few days. I do have a cute card I made as part of my September Christmas Card Club and it features the Peaceful Deer bundle.

I'm loving how this card turned out. There's something about stamping on Crumb Cake card stock that totally changes the look and feel of a card.

Card Measurements:

  • Crumb Cake card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

  • Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper: 5" x 3 3/4"

  • Crumb Cake: 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"

  • Crumb Cake: 2 1/2" x 2"

Card Details:

  • Attach Designer Series Paper to card base with Stampin' Seal.

  • On Crumb Cake, stamp the deer and rabbit images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink at the bottom right of the card stock. Stamp the tree images in Garden Green, that has been stamped off once, toward the left side, above the deer and rabbit images.

  • Using a Chalk Marker, colour the rabbit and add "snow" under the rabbit and deer. Use the marker to add snow to the trees.

  • Stamp the snow images using White Craft ink, around the trees at the top of the card stock, allow to dry.

  • On smaller piece of Crumb Cake, stamp sentiment in Garden Green and cut out using Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Use Chalk Marker to colour the outline of the label, above the stitching.

  • Attach stamped layer to card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. Add Wink of Stella under the "snow" and on the trees.

  • Attach the label to card front with Dimensionals, above the deer and rabbit.

  • Sprinkle with Elegant Faceted Gems.

There is still time to sign up for the final month of Christmas Card Club, where you will make 12 cards, featuring this very stamp set. Registration will close on October 29th.
